ACCESS 001 / APPLICATION GUIDANCE

MAKE YOUR
APPLICATION.

We want to hear your original music and understand your goals. You don't need a polished recording or a commercial release.

01 / WHO

Who can apply

Independent musicians aged 18 or over and based in England, making their own original music: solo artists, duos and bands of up to five. Every member of a duo or band must be 18 or over, and you must have their permission to apply for the act. All genres welcome.

02 / FOCUS

Who we especially want to reach

Artists aged 18 to 30, artists in Gloucestershire and the wider South West, and musicians facing financial or other barriers or under-represented in music. These are priorities, not automatic exclusions; you never need to share detailed financial or sensitive information.

03 / ORIGINAL MUSIC

Original, human-created music only

No covers and no AI-generated music, vocals or lyrics. Normal recording, editing, tuning, mixing and mastering tools are fine. If we have a reasonable concern we may ask about your creative process; we never rely on an automated AI detector alone.

04 / STAGE 1

Application Stage 1

Fill in the application and share a listening link to an original song, demo or work in progress: Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube or [untitled]. No audio uploads. Make sure reviewers can open the link without asking for permission.

05 / STAGE 2

Application Stage 2

Shortlisted applicants may be invited to a structured second conversation. Selection considers artistic potential, originality, clear goals, likely benefit, barriers to similar opportunities, availability and how you would work in a collaborative group.

06 / IF SELECTED

Offer and onboarding

You receive a formal offer. You read the Programme Terms and accept your place online within 30 calendar days (reasonable extensions can be considered); there is nothing to sign. Then an individual onboarding meeting to plan your sessions.

07 / AFTER

What happens next

You get an automatic confirmation with your reference. Only shortlisted and selected applicants normally receive further individual emails.
